About presentations

Hey Dear Participant!

Before you come to our event please sit back and answer the following questions. Please write the questions and answers into document or pdf file (for example: answers_john.doc) and send the files to us. We would like to gather all the doc-files before 18th of July.

This is not all! When you get to Tallinn then on one day every participant of SummerCamp 2008 should present him- or herself to others by answering the same questions in front of the studium. People from the same country can do the presentation together. Making a powerpoint presentation is not a must but I assure you that for others it would be much easier to follow if you have the slides.

If you feel that most of the questions are not concerning you at that moment very much - try to improvise!

The main idea of the presentations is to get to know the participants a bit better. Besides the partying and fun abilities we would like to know a bit about the educational, professional and personal background.

So please do not be angry because of that small requirement we have and prepare your answers! :)

General information:
1) who are you?
2) where do you come from?

Educational backround:
3) where do you study?
4) what do you study (describe the area of expertise)?
5) how long have you been studying?
6) tell us about some cool subjects you have in your university
7) give us an idea of the average graduater of your speciality

Professional backround:
8) do I work in the field that I'm studying? (if yes, then describe your work a bit closer; if not, then tell us who do you want/hope to become)
9) what does interest you in IT? (programming languages, operating systems, databases, networking, chatting, instant messageing, internet etc) (maybe you've done some projects you'd like to share with us)
10) how do you imagine yourself in the future 1,3,5,10 years?

* Every answer should consist of 1-3 sentences
* Participants from same country will present themselves together one-by-one
* Try to be general and schedule friendly (5-7 minutes per presentation)

* No need to send us the ppt-files, just bring them with on USB stick or CD
